Tints

The main benefits of window tinting include:

  1. Improved privacy: Tinted windows can provide a level of privacy to the occupants of the car, making it harder for others to see inside the car.

  2. Reduced heat and glare: The film used in window tinting can significantly reduce the amount of heat and glare that enters the car, making it more comfortable for the occupants.

  3. Protection from UV rays: The film used in window tinting can block up to 99% of UV rays, which can help to protect the occupants from harmful UV radiation.

  4. Enhanced safety: In the event of an accident, window tinting can help to hold the glass together and prevent it from shattering, reducing the risk of injury from broken glass.

We are IMI accredited window tinters and we use the highest quality of window film from 2ply with non-metal, nano-hybrid carbon tint technology that won’t interfere with GPS navigation, satellite radio, cellular phones, and other electronic devices within your vehicle.

Legal

Please note the regulations regarding tinted front windscreens and front side windows, depending on the vehicle's first use date:

For vehicles first used on or after April 1, 1985:

  • The front windscreen must allow at least 75% of light through.
  • The front side windows must allow at least 70% of light through.

For vehicles first used before April 1, 1985:

  • Both the front windscreen and front side windows must allow at least 70% of light through.

There are no specific rules for tinting the rear windscreen or rear passenger windows.

Non-compliance with tinting regulations may result in:

  • Receiving a 'prohibition notice' halting the use of the vehicle on the road until excessive tint is removed.
  • Facing a penalty notice or court summons.

Thank you for your attention to these legal requirements

Many people still use films that can last for many years and are perfect if you are on a budget. However, there are a range of tint films that you can use. One of the excellent choices, or perhaps the best for some car enthusiasts, are ceramic window tints. Ceramic window tints have the capability of metallic films without interfering with the signal of your electronics. We recommend that you use this kind of film to have maximum protection.
